What types of meat do you sell?
- Our products range from beef, lamb, pork, poultry.
- We also sell rubs and sauces that are included.
Where does your meat come from?
We source locally from abattoirs and wholesale distributors, as well as directly to from the farmer. All sourced in NSW
Is your meat fresh or frozen when delivered?
Our products will be freshly delivered in a insulated and cooled packaged box. Which all items purchased will be cryovac to ensure significantly extended shelf life and prevent any contamination or spoilage by removing the oxygen. Limited stocked items will be frozen, all information will be in the description of the product unless stated otherwise. Do you sell halal meat?
Some items may vary, any whole items not processed in-house and purchased from a wholesaler which have been vacuum sealed are halal. As long as the seal hasn’t been damaged. Although we are not Halal certified.
Do you offer organic, grass-fed or free-range meat?
LAMB. We source only the finest free-range lambs in Australia. Raised in the most fertile lands of the Lachlan valley located in the Cowra region.
PORK. Sourced from the greater western region planes of Cowra, Cheverton pork is hormone and growth promotant free. 100% Australian grain.
WATERVALE BEEF. Also located in the Lachlan valley, enriched with enviable soil and water in the region of Cowra. Producing some of Australia’s best tasting beef.
FARMERS. We have relationships directly with farmers who specialise in producing cattle located in the NSW region. No BOVIAR, no hormones and only Australian Beef.
All products are sourced locally in NSW and 100% guaranteed only Australian beef and products will be used at CJ Butchery.
NO. Specific items are free range like our lambs, our goal is to introduce organic, grassfed and more free-range products to our company. As we believe that is the future of this industry.
How is the meat packaged to ensure freshness?
All products purchased will go through thorough testing and parameter checks at all levels to meet with industry standards and those of CJ Butchery. Items will be proceeded under refrigerated conditions, then all products will be cry-vac, dramatically extending the shelf life of a perishable item by removing oxygen and moisture ensuring freshness and decreasing spoilage and contamination. No added gases or M.A.P packaged typically seen in supermarkets.
Why is my meat a different colour compared to supermarket meat?
Meat is a perishable item and there is many ways to preserve and increase the shelf life of products. Unlike butcher shops, supermarkets use a packing process called M.A.P (Modified Atmosphere packaging) altering the visual aspect, eating quality and preservation in their packaging.

How do I place an order online?
Search CJ Butchery and click on the link which will take you to the main webpage. Select a product your interested in, select the qty and then add to cart. From your cart you can select checkout which will ask for your details for delivery. Add payment method ( E.g. American Express card). Select pay now, you’ll receive an order summary and confirmation in your email.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, Shop pay and apple/google pay.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Is there a minimum order amount?

How much does delivery cost?
With all purchases a delivery fee of $15 will be included at checkout. Any order over $199 well waive the fee and you won’t pay a cent. FREE Delivery
How long will my order take to arrive?
- Orders placed before 8pm to be delivered the next day during the hours of 7am-6pm.
- We delivery Monday to Friday. Any orders from Friday-Sunday will be delivered the following Monday, as the demand instore increases.
ANY orders who selected pick up instore are available Monday-Saturday.
Can I schedule a delivery time?
YES. You will have the option before checkout to select your preferred delivery options.
Is meat delivery safe and how do you keep it cold during shipping?
- Absolutely 100% SAFE. Every step of the way your product is refrigerated, from slaughtering to processing, packaging and especially during delivery. We provide a cold chain solution with our own refrigerated truck not a courier. Temperature ranging from -18 degrees to 2 degrees at all times. Your meat will also be transported in an insulated box with ice packs included.
- Internal temperature when tested was stable at 3-5 degrees when left outside directly away from the sun.
- It is recommended to be home for delivery to ensure safe drop off, though maximum time left unrefrigerated for a couple of hours. Your product will still maintain 4 degrees internal under shade.
Do you offer in-store pickup?
Absolutely, we do offer a in-store pick up option at checkout. Select the perfect time and date you wish to pick up your order.
Storage & Preparation
How should I store my meat after it’s delivered?
It’s best to store all meat below temperatures of 5 degrees in a fridge and -15 degrees freezer. Make sure the packaging is not damaged and remains sealed. It’s also recommended to store below ready to eat meals to avoid any contamination.
How long will fresh meat last in the fridge or freezer?
If cryovaced packaging is still in perfect condition, fresh products will have a significantly extended shelf life. Any product with a bone will experience a shorter shelf life due to longer chilling. It is recommended to chill thoroughly

- All meat products if frozen below -18 Degrees can be stored indefinitely. Due to the added benefits of cryovaced meat. [1-3 years]
- Non-Cryovaced [4-12] Months significant decrease in shelf life
Do you provide cooking tips or recipes for your meat?
Not at the moment. In due course we will hopefully keep added information to the website for customers

What should I do if my order is incorrect or damaged?

What happens if my order is spoiled upon arrival?

Do you offer meat subscription boxes?

Do you offer meat packs for events, BBQs or catering?
